Numbers - Realistic Fiction Short StoryA story about math...among other things I was sitting in the cafe, another book about time travel propped up against the sugar shaker. I’ve always loved reading about impossible things. The challenge I get from trying to comprehend the facts is such a thrill. During math class, I never actually listen to the lectures of my teacher. I was always caught researching an unrealistic theory that I wanted to prove possible, or doodling Pascal’s and Sierpinski triangles on my desk with a whiteboard marker. I got more detentions than I could keep track of, but almost always received As on my assignments. I turned the last page of the book and sighed in contentment. As I reached for my leather bookmark that lay on a bed of bread crumbs, I looked up and saw a man of about twenty sitting across from me. I gave a small shout and scooted back in my chair.
